Ya se conocen las candidaturas a los premios Emmy de este año. Series como 'House', 'Rockefeller plaza', 'Daños y prejuicios' o 'Anatomía de Grey' esperan llevarse bastantes estatuilas.

 

Sin embargo, es la miniserie de época John Adams ha sido la que mayor número de candidaturas ha obtebido, nada menos que 23. Rockefeller Plaza (Paramount y laSexta) y el drama Mad Men (Canal+) recibieron un total de 17 y 16 nominaciones a los Oscar de la televisión estadounidense, que volvieron a reconocer el éxito de la segunda temporada de Betty.

John Adams es una miniserie co producida por Tom Hanks para la cadena HBO y protagonizada por Paul Giamatti y Laura Linney, filmada una parte en Hungría, que narra los primeros 50 años de la formación política de Estados Unidos tras la independencia.

La gala de entrega de los Premios Emmy tendrá lugar en Los Angeles el próximo 21 de septiembre.

Las cadenas que más espacio de su programación dejan a las series acumulan largas listas de nominados. Es el caso de FOX, cuyas series están entre las favoritas para la 60ª edición de los Premios Emmy con una cincuentena de candidaturas, repartidas entre las principales producciones emitidas por la cadena y algunas que se estrenarán en la próxima temporada de otoño, como En terapia, producción de HBO escrita por Rodrigo García, que estará en antena en octubre, y que cuenta con cuatro nominaciones incluida la de Mejor Actor para su protagonista, Gabriel Byrne.

También aspiran a premios en diversas categorías producciones como Californication, Me llamo Earl, las serie de animación Padre de familia y El rey de la colina, la comedia Cómo conocí a vuestra madre, y las nuevas series del canal New Ámsterdam, que FOX estrenará en primicia el próximo mes de agosto, y Último aviso, adaptación del clásico de Mel Brooks Superagente 86, que se emitirá en septiembre.
